Cappucino crisis Struis Groningen

In this weeks episode of Cappucino Crisis I wandered into Struis in Groningen, a cozy café on a corner in a small neighbourhood. Where students meet before class or during class (who knows).

I went in for breakfast and also brought a second opinion with me (my twinsister) With the hopes that we’ll get a cappucino that doesn’t wants you to sell your kidney afterwards. (starbucks get the hint).

The verdict? The cappucino itself was.. fine. Imagine meeting someone who is perfectly nice, but you know its not ‘the one’ well that was this cappucino. The foam was not perfect it had kind of the consistency of a group project, technically its there but not really pulling its weight. Also the cappucino costs 4 euros, and in my opinion you expect a large cup but this one, was on the small side.

BUUT before you think I stormed out and never looked back, the breakfast was suprisingly good. I ordered a breakfast plank, that means I got a bit of everything on the menu. All the food was freshly made and laid up the cupboard with care.

Would I come back? Probably, yes. The place is cute aswell on the inside as on the outside. The food is great and I would love to try more of the menu. Not every cappucino can be ‘the one’ but that’s probably best for my caffeine addiction.

Next week I’ll be trying another spot in Groningen, if you have any recommendations, please let me know in the comments or on instagram!

This was this weeks Cappucino Crisis, see you next week! Same crisis, different cup.

Love,

Lotte
